"AJ" IS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT
Cats all star goalie AJ Whiffen suffered what has been described as a groin/hamstring injury late in the Sunday afternoon's game against the visiting Gander Flyers.
Following the game the always-focused young net-minder was in good spirits walking with no apparent problems. He was very positive in his comments after the game, that the injury was not serious and that he will be back for the next Cataracts scheduled games,( which are two home games against the visiting Clarenville Caribous at the "Joe" in two weekend's time).
All teams have next weekend off. The season "re-starts" for its final 'leg' on Feb.3rd/4th weekend. The Cats play at Home against the Bous on Sat/Sun Feb.3rd/4th. The Flyers will be 'off' that weekend. Then, the final weekend of the Schedule is set for a Friday/Saturday/Sunday finish, with GFW on the road in Clarenville on Friday night and in Gander on Saturday night. The Bous and the Flyers end the regular season schedule in Gander on Sunday afternoon.
